Script Pitt Guidelines
There are new guidelines for how schools and departments can use the Authorized Script Pitt Logo and Approval Guide. While general uses are outlined, this document does not cover all possible uses. Please contact Bill Young, firstname.lastname@example.org or 412-624-4209, or Lori Burens in Athletics, email@example.com, with specific questions or to obtain the mark.
Guidelines for School/Departmental/Unit Graphics
The development of a graphic specifically for an individual entity within the University is a special project that requires review and approval by the Office of University Communications.
If your request is reviewed, and thereby deemed appropriate for development and finalization by Communications Services, the new graphic must be implemented in accordance with established usage guidelines. View the guidelines »
Official Web Logo (with color bar)
All academic and administrative units are required to use the official University of Pittsburgh graphic bars at the top of their Web pages. These graphic bars are regularly updated, and use the University’s official colors, seals, and logotypes.
Using the graphic bars reinforces the identity of the institution across all of the Web sites maintained by schools, offices, and departments. It also makes it easier for visitors to find commonly requested features, such as the Pitt home page.
- Gold Pitt Bar (view | download zip)
- Blue Pitt Bar (view | download zip)
- White Pitt Bar (view | download zip)
On pages that use the bar, all page elements such as department names, page titles, and additional navigation buttons must be placed on the page below the bar, and must not appear to be part of it.
